I don't understand going 15-20 mph under the speed limit.
I don't understand taking a quiz for 20 minutes and then having the audacity to ask if you can finish it the next day...when there is still over an hour in class left.
I don't understand how -1+45=17.
I don't understand how 1/2 and 1/7 are the same thing.
I don't understand how -2 and 2 are both positive.
I don't understand how putting your head down on your desk and refusing to take a quiz punishes me, the teacher.
I don't understand coming to school and refusing to work. Couldn't you get a lot more done at home?
I don't understand punching a kid over,"you talk a lot of smack"
I don't understand drama filled teenage girls.
I don't understand joking around with a twisted mean sense of humor.

Crafts
I've been in the crafty mood lately.

This one is upside down...sorry bout that

This is a bookshelf.

See how damaged it is? It's pretty yucky all over. I've had it for a while.

The new paint color!

While we were painting, I saw a paint blob fly off the brush and go back behind me. I called Grey over and we searched up and down for a good five minutes to try and find the bright blob of red paint. You know where we found it 3-4 hours later?

On my day off, I spent about 5ish hours cutting material, in order to make a quilt for our bed! We've decided to do a navy blue-yellow theme.

I'm planning on doing blocks like this - I have over 45 (4x4 put together) to sew and then I'm planning on doing strips between each of the blocks.

And, here's an update on the baby blanket. Turns out it's way too long - like it could legitly be a blanket for the couch. Whoops. Guess the next James baby will get to grow into it!

I'll keep y'all updated!

Baby Blanket
Some of the women at my school decided to put together a crocheting club known as the "Cackle and Crochet" Ladies.
I was one of the founding women. :)
They taught me how to crochet.
Since then, I've crocheted a little here and there but recently, I thought I'd try and spice up a little competition.
I'm making a baby blanket.
Not for me....but for EITHER Kristi or Jen....whoever decides to pop out another niece or nephew for ole Aunt Becky. :)
Genius, right!? No seriously, no pressure to make any rash decisions, but the next niece or nephew WILL be getting this lovely handmade blanket from me. If you don't like it, then just hold off until the other sister pops out a kid. :)

Cookbook Bookshelf
That's right - I have a whole bookshelf dedicated to cookbooks and it's starting to get a little out of control...

And...last weekend, I tried my hand at glass etching. I used my Cricut to cut out the designs on vinyl.
Step 1: Cut out design and put on glass

Step 2: Spread glass etching cream (being very careful to not get it anywhere close to you) and let sit for 10ish minutes

Step 3: Rinse off with water. Peel vinyl off and rinse again. Let dry and ta-da! I did two vases - the second picture showed the second vase that I did and unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of it finished so here is the first one. Pretty cool, huh?

Reedy River Run
Today was the Reedy River Run, 5k and 10k. Grey and I both decided to just do the 5k. Hillcrest had about 40 teachers sign up to either run or walk it and it was a really fun opportunity to do some "outside of school" bonding. Anywho, sorry to disappoint, but we totally forgot to take before and after pictures.
Grey ran it with the intention of just running. He didn't really train beforehand and once he got there, he saw one of his good camp friends and decided to run with him.
I have been training for the cooper river (which we can no longer run due to Boston) and so having run all my 3 mile runs in right at under 30 minutes, I decided that I was going to try and set a record.
Yours truly did! A personal best! 3.1 miles in UNDER 28 minutes. Get it B. And....I beat Grey. :)
Happy Saturday!

Quote
While watching the bachelor, Grey says, "There is nothing more attractive than seeing your wife in sweats and fuzzy slippers crocheting on the couch."
Ahh...I love my hubby. :)
