Rainy Thursday

So last week, it rained for 5 days straight so Grey and I decided that NOW was the time to get me a rain jacket!  Literally, the day it arrived, it stopped raining.  BUT TODAY I finally got to guard myself against the cold wetness and...it worked! :)  Yay!
On to other things...
This is James doing tummy time!

This is the best picture I have of the old mirror in our bathroom! Our mirror was big enough to fit a cranky 8 month preggo woman.  (I do NOT look back at those moments with a lot of happiness....)  :)
Here's our newest project!
Woo hoo! I think we're going to take down the gold picture and put it somewhere else in the bathroom. I painted that iron thing and then distressed it.  We love it!
Here's US!
Hope you guys have a lovely Thursday

Picture Dump!

The internet is finally working again!! :)  WOO HOO!!!
In other news, our power was off and on (mostly off) from 3:00pm-2:30am last night.
It. Was. Hot.  James struggled going down for naps and bed since it was hot and his white noise fan wasn't on.
Currently, James thinks it's the funniest thing when you smell his diaper and declare it to be "so stinky".  He also loves being tickled in his arm pits. He tried apples this morning and grimaced and puckered with every bite.  That particular reaction surprised us because recently he stole my apple that I was eating and sucked/gnawed on it for a good minute or two.

Can't leave out the furry animals!
This is Oliver's new hiding spot
 Our new chandelier!
Fun in the laundry basket :)

Happy Thursday!

no internet

I've been trying since Saturday to get the internet on my laptop to work so until it decides to shape up, no more pictures. Sorry kids.
James is doing well and is starting to push up on all fours. We've talked about how we might have to start baby proofing the house.
No recent house showings.
I got a haircut and I love it! I think I lost a pound of hair. :)
We replaced the light over our dining room table with a chandelier. When the internet works again, I'll upload pictures.
That's all!

Selfie Sunday and Quick Updates

The house that we had the contingent offer accepted on has had another "acceptable" offer meaning...we have till Monday at 6pm to sell out house or we give it up.
No biggie.  The Lord is in control. Grey and I both have a total peace about whatever happens.
Our next step is to keep the house on the market until September and then take it off until the early spring.  We've been wanting to do some things to the house for the past couple of years like painting and putting in a gas stove but have refrained to keep a "neutral" pallet for our home buyers.  Well since that's not happening any time soon, we're going to do what we want to the house!
Plans include:
Painting all the rooms
Redoing our master bedroom and bathroom(linens etc)
Getting a gas stove
Possibly replacing the countertops in the kitchen and the bathroom
Possibly adding either a sunroom or a screened in porch onto the back.

The only bummer about this whole house not selling thing is that I'm refusing to have another child until we are settled into our new house.  James and kiddo #2 will already be a year and a half apart at this date and we've been saying that we want them around 2-3 years apart.  Don't know if that's going to happen or not, but we're trusting in the Lord!  Obviously His plan is not our current plan. :)

On to Selfie Sunday!!
James had his 6 month appointment on Thursday!  He got another round of shots and weighed 15lbs 12oz (25%) and was 26 inches tall (45%).  Kiddo is small!  Look at him sleeping! :)  He's a belly sleeper!
Getting his diaper changed while holding Giada the goose!
Happy Sunday!

6 months!

James is half a year old!  Woo hoo!!!
I feel like the first 3 months C-R-A-W-L-E-D and now I feel like time is flying by super fast!
He's a squealing squirming bouncing yelling rolling kid!!
How bout a throwback?  This is him during his first month. (Those are 0-3 month and newborn clothes.  Kiddo was small!)
Look at how tiny he is!
6 months: James has tasted avocado, bananas, and peas.  Bananas are by FAR his favorite.  He doesn't care for either avocados or peas.  He's still breastfeeding every three hours although starting today, we're trying to extend that schedule a little bit.  He's still sleeping like a champ at night.  Most nights he eats around 11 and then 4 but we have a few nights (maybe 1-2 times a week) where he eats just once during the night.  He enjoys swimming and bouncing and being active! Little boy does NOT like to sit in the same spot for a long period of time.  He loves to play with toys!  He's sitting up completely on his own, transferring toys from one hand to the other, and rolling over both ways!  He doesn't have any teeth that have broken through yet but boy is he teething!

 "This is my belly, mom"
 Teething!
Doesn't Grey look like he's posing for Olan Mills?

 James didn't want to participate
Happy 6 months kiddo!

Picture!

We saw a Blue Heron on one of our adventures!
I boom ROASTED Mom in Words with Friends...Can you see it?  "Rhythmic" for an amazing 167 points!!!
Sweet Giggles! :)
First food - Avocado!  He was NOT a fan. The most any day that we could get him to eat was 3 tiny bites. We tried bananas today and he LOVED them! He ate over 10 spoonfuls and lounged towards the spoon each time! :)
"Mom! What. The. Heck. Is. Sitting. Beside. ME?!?!"(Look at the cute flags on his shorts!)
Sitting up like a pro!
We're teething big time so this little smile is about all we're getting right now. He'll literally let me sit and rub his gums for minutes at a time until I give up. :)

**This is the house that we're currently in contract with.  We'll see if it stays that way or not. Pray our house sells!

hello!

I haven't forgotten about y'all!! Let's see...
Lots of vacation
Lots of house showings
James is sitting up for 15-20 minutes at a time
We've had our offer accepted on another house. It's a contingent contract, don't worry!
James will be six months old next week!
He started solid food on Monday and we started with avocado. Tomorrow will be bananas!
I've started reading The Fault in our Stars and I can tell it's going to be amazing. Currently I'm also reading the Davinci Code and Anne of Green Gables.
I think that's all so far. I'll try to upload some pictures of James soon!
Happy 4th!
