Emmie Lyn,
Happy 8 months baby girl!
This past month was a big one for you - You've started crawling and standing up. You no longer want to play in your exersaucers or bounce in your door bouncer. You want to move move move.
Diaper changes have become a battle. You squirm and roll all over the place and when I try to hold your legs down, you SCREAM. Most of the time, I end up with poop all over my hands and you end up with poop all over your legs and feet from kicking.
You finally cut out a feeding during the middle of the night - You go down about 7:30 and will sleep until sometime between 12 and 4. Then you eat again around 8 when you get up. You've dropped down to two naps during the day. You take a quick 45 minute morning nap and then you go down about 1:30 and sleep till 4ish in the afternoon. You have grasped the pincer grasp and can now successfully feed yourself. You love ground beef with tomato sauce, black beans, cheerios, broccoli, peas, puffs, and any fruit. You hate pasta.
You're still in 6 month clothes and you wear them well. :) We've moved into 9 month jammies so you have room to stretch out at night. You LOVE Toots (your beaver). Most of the time, if you're sad and I have no idea why, I'll bring you Toots and you immediately stop crying.
Everything goes into your mouth so we're really having to watch you closely. You love to chew on chalk and the bubble wand. Sigh.
You're babbling ma ma, da da, and ba ba. You're constantly exercising your voice and squealing. You LOVE it when we have dance parties.
Big brother James just adores you and tries to show it to you by wrestling you to the ground in a hug. He also hates it when we make him share his toys with you.
You get really excited when your daddy comes home from work. You wiggle out of my arms trying to look for him as soon as you hear his voice. It's quite cute. :)
We love you baby girl and we're glad you're ours!
